Katrina

About Katrina:

Katrina was born in 1977 in San Dimas, CA and grew up in Northern California. She graduated from Monte Vista High School in 1995, earned her Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from UC Santa Barbara in 1999, and her PhD in Mathematics from the University of Arizona in 2004. She is currently a Mathematics professor at Central Michigan University. Katrina's research is in Undergraduate Mathematics Education. More specifically, her research interests include undergraduate students' understanding of the mathematical language and proofs, and the influences on career choices of undergraduate women Mathematics students. In her spare time, Katrina enjoys yoga, cross-stitching, going on bike rides with Mike, and traveling. Katrina's mother, Barbara Jimenez, and her three brothers, John, Frank, and Stuart, all reside in California.
