Cadillac Ranch outside of Amarillo, TX. This historic work of art from 1974 consists of 10 1950s Cadillacs buried halfway underground. There are cans of spray-paint on the ground so that anyone who comes to visit can leave their mark. An interesting story is that this was not the original location for the art structure. It originally was located about 10 miles away, but when people began to take advantage of the popularity of the art by building commercially nearby, the artist had the structures moved to this new location.
